Giving hope to families affected by autism

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all contributions made to Autism Oasis for Kids Inc. is tax deductible.
We offer assistance to families in autism training, counseling, respite care, in locating resources, and finding treatment options. These extra services are invaluable to families, increasing their quality of life and ensuring their child’s ongoing progress.

Your donations are used directly for the benefit of children with autism and their families; to provide them with extra services and supports. We also use donations for much needed specialized equipment for the therapies we offer.

The growing need

A 2006 Center for Disease Control and Prevention study indicates that approximately 1 in 110 children born in the United States have some form of autism. Autism appears to be the only disorder among the various developmental diagnostic categories that is on the upswing. Near epidemic growth in autism diagnoses over the past 30 years has far outstripped the supply of trained practitioners experienced in working with autistic children; there are simply not enough practitioners to go around.

Few schools, whether public or private, cater to the needs of the autistic child. There is a growing need for a multi-modality approach, in a suitable environment for children affected by autism. Although long considered victims of an irreversible neurological disorder, many children are being helped and even cured by a more holistic approach. Using the brain’s own extraordinary neuro-plasticity, we can foster growth on the social-educational, bio-medical, and neurological levels.
